CDI Kitchens managed the renovation from start to finish, completing structural modifications, cabinetry installation, flooring, finish carpentry, and all related construction to create a bright, welcoming transitional kitchen that balances contemporary design elements with the character of the original home.

The project features Shiloh semi-custom cabinetry with full-overlay shaker doors in a painted hickory finish that allows the natural wood grain to subtly show through. This distinctive finish adds warmth, texture, and character while maintaining a clean, refined appearance. Viatera Carbo Brushed quartz countertops, ash gray Top Knobs hardware, and a vertically stacked subway tile backsplash introduce contemporary elements that complement the home's traditional architecture rather than compete with it. One of the most impactful aspects of the renovation was modifying the existing window height and reducing the overall window size above the sink. While this decision may seem counterintuitive, it created opportunities for a significantly improved kitchen layout with better workflow, increased storage, and expanded countertop space. CDI Kitchens completed the structural modifications, exterior patching, and finish work required to seamlessly integrate the change into both the interior and exterior of the home.
